ACE Type Shelter
ACE-I Shelter
ACE-I shelters are the most compact and lightweight models in the ACE series. They are designed for sensor systems, communication equipment, and portable electronic infrastructure that need to operate within limited space. Their lightweight construction allows for easy integration into various vehicle platforms, making them an ideal solution for mobile operations requiring rapid deployment.

ACE-I Shelter is the entry-level variant of the NATO Air-Conditioned Environment classification. With a compact interior volume, a small footprint and rapid deployment, it is designed for tactical applications typically housing 2 to 4 personnel or a limited number of electronic racks. The Ozben Defence ACE-I platform is manufactured at our Ankara production facility in line with NATO STANAG 2413 principles and delivered after site acceptance testing.
Key Features
Compact interior volume
Approximately 12 to 16 m³ depending on configuration, providing an efficient layout for small teams.
Sandwich-panel structure
Corrosion-resistant outer skin with a low-thermal-conductivity core.
Integrated HVAC
Cooling and heating package that maintains the interior at mission temperature across a wide ambient range.
Sealing package
Optional CBRN filtration for positive-pressure collective protection.
LED interior lighting
Normal and tactical (blackout) modes.
Electrical distribution panel
Generator interface and grounding point.
Construction
The shell is built from sandwich panels, with door and window interfaces sealed by gaskets. Cable penetrations are terminated with sealed gland sets. The floor is designed to carry personnel and rack loads; an optional seismic isolation package protects sensitive electronics under vibration. Transport is possible on a ground vehicle, on a trailer, or as a helicopter underslung load.
International Standards
NATO STANAG 2413
Mobile shelter design and transport requirements.
NATO STANAG 4447
Collective protection in the optional CBRN configuration.
MIL-STD-810H
Vibration, shock, temperature, humidity, salt fog, and sand-dust endurance.
MIL-STD-461G
Electromagnetic compatibility.
Applications
- Small-team command and control post.
- Signals intelligence and communications cabin.
- Field surveillance, forward observation and air control team cabin.
- Auxiliary electronics cabin for radar or weapon systems.
- Small field triage or communications room.
Configuration and RFQ
Final interior volume, weight, HVAC capacity and subsystem configuration are defined per project based on the mission profile, the integrated electronic load and the transport platform. The Özben engineering team handles the entire process as a single point of contact, from requirements analysis to on-site installation training.
